Sindi is an ongoing work in progress by me, Michelle Jericho Poppler (aka) Mabsy Moody. This website currently is showcasing my portfolio as well as documenting my progress on Sindi is.

Sindi was born out in the margins of my notebook when I was taking animation and journalism classes at Kapiolani Community College. I ran Sindi is as a comic strip in the KCC student newspaper The Kapio from about 2000-2003. I revived her for a time in the 808 Scene Zine from 2007-2009.

I put Sindi on the shelf yet again to shift my attention in the fall of 2009 to re-develop my love of animation at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Academy For Creative Media, under the instruction of Professor Linda Dorn. Now that I’ve got some more skills under my belt and feel refreshed again with my art I am currently giving Sindi a makeover.

To those of you who remember the old Sindi fear not! You’ll love the new Sindi even more! Aloha!
